Barred and shuttered
Not particularly inviting, this window. When it comes to keeping unwelcome visitors out, this window says it all, even with the shutters open.
When you consider the location you can understand why such an unfriendly impression might be appropriate. This is a old bourbon aging house in Kentucky.
This is an old photo from 2015. If you would like to see more about this story, visit my Cafe Ludwig post about Making Bourbon. Amazingly those old image links to my OneDrive still work.
Here is a view of the barrel warehouse at that distillery.

Monday Window is a weekly blog post challenge featuring one or more photos of windows, prominently or as the main subject. Please see the sidebar.
Please visit the participating blogs. You will be delighted and astounded by the rich and imaginative offerings by the bloggers from around the world.

That’s a real stronghold with those metal shutters and the grilles. But never mind the windows, I luuuuv the barrels!

There is a neat welcome center for the the thirsty visitors now. The shutters look rather unused.

At first glance, it looks like a prison building. Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2020/02/25/templeton-building-monday-window-feb-24/

Not a prison. This one wants to keep people out, not in.
