Looking Out
These are difficult days. It’s lonely, staying home waiting for the scourge to pass as we look longingly out our windows.
I went into my archive to find some photos on the theme of looking out. I will splurge and share three of them, hoping that I will not run out of images while waiting for normal life to return.
Allow me to start with raindrops on a window pane. It illustrates our pain well.
Here an old photo from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.
And a pleasant view from a friend’s place in Florida.

The water droplets – such a simple idea and so well executed, Ludwig. My photos are all new – but the object in question is only a couple of hundred metres away from where I live. We are still allowed out, if only alone or with people who live in the same household. Keep up your spirits! https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/04/06/windows-of-a-renovated-rathaus/

It’s the droplets for me as well Ludwig, simply gorgeous. No lockdown yet in the Netherlands yet…

Thank you, TiongHan. I’m glad I included my droplets, I had hesitated as no other part of the window shows and wasn’t sure it would fit. Hope you don’t need the lockdown. Stay safe!

It is often very surprising what archives hold, and how much we have forgotten.
