Modern Touch
In the past two posts we looked at the Tanner building in Athens, Georgia. We left looking up at the side of the building. The photo below is not the same one you saw before. This one shows two windows, not just one, but more importantly I want you to notice the modern appearing lamp in the angled wall.

Let’s level the camera and take a look. The lamp tells you that this is indeed the same building. Here we have a friendly nook, a table with seats, all very contemporary looking.

In 1996 the University of Georgia acquired the property and a couple of years later the building was rehabilitated for academic use. The historic outside was lovingly preserved.
Our featured window for today is the charming window protected by a sun with steel rays.

Thanks, Aletta. I should have mentioned that the art department used that building – they clearly left their mark.
