Church windows
These windows are from the Abby Church of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit near Conyers, Georgia.
These photos are also featured in my post Challenge 2020 – 7 in my blog 2C2V.
In my Monday Windows post on Mach 2, 2020 I featured several other photos from this church.
Monday Window is a weekly blog post challenge featuring one or more photos of windows, prominently or as the main subject. Please see the sidebar.
See Monday Window postsPlease visit the participating blogs. You will be delighted and astounded by the rich and imaginative offerings by the bloggers from around the world.

I like that you are showing the window from inside and outside. I am somehow hesitant to take photos inside churches, not that I am in churches a lot anyway.
My Monday window is much more profane 🙂

Thank you eklastic. I try to be very respectful of the places I visit and only take photos where allowed. At this monastery visitors are very much encouraged. There is even a visitors section in the church at the back so one can go in even during services without disturbing the worshippers.

That’s a great selection: I agree – it’s good to see the windows from both inside and out. I’m not joining you this week – I’m sorry. It’s been One of Those Weeks and I haven’t had a chance to sort anything out.

Thank you, Margaret. Nothing wrong with taking a break. This challenge is meant to be fun and as such we don’t need or want the pressure of having “to perform on schedule”. Thank you for looking in.

The stain glass window looks like it’s made out of gems. So beautiful. Here is my bit of fantasy: https://mywanderings.travel.blog/2020/08/10/juliets-balcony-window/

Indeed it is most unusual. The monks were very imaginative in the construction of their church. Utter simplicity, yet serene and magnificent.
