Unusual Dormers
It all comes from casually looking through my LAB folder. There was this subfolder with just one photo in it. I told the story in my Ramblings over at Cafe Ludwig. Let me recap a little of it here. The photo showed a building with the unusual dormers you see here.
It was from a photo trip over seven years ago. We took the scenic route on our way to Cumberland Gap, the historic gateway to the West across the Appalachian Mountains. It took us to the Smoky Mountains National Park and through Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge – popular tourist destinations in Tennessee.
The photo here shows the River Chase Lodge in Pigeon Forge. That area has many unusual buildings. That travel day yielded a wealth of photos and stories. More to come.
